Role Description
As a Customer Care & Reception Desk Associate at IKIGAI, you are the face of our studios and a crucial part of each guest’s experience.In this front-facing role, you will greet students with warmth and professionalism, manage daily studio operations, and foster the sense of community that makes IKIGAI special. Whether you are assisting a newcomer or a regular member, your presence and service-oriented mindset will help ensure every visitor feels seen, cared for, and motivated to return.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome and check in all members, first-timers, and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide accurate and prompt information about class schedules, pricing, special promotions, and studio policies.
• Manage class registrations, payments, cancellations, waitlists, and client inquiries both on-site and via phone, email, or WhatsApp.
• Conduct routine checks of the reception and practice areas to maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall ambience.
• Assist with administrative tasks (updating client databases, handling booking software, basic reporting).
• Collaborate with instructors to ensure smooth class transitions and relay any customer feedback.
• Handle opening and/or closing procedures, ensuring the studio is pristine and welcoming for every class.
• Support community-building activities (e.g., sharing upcoming workshops or events, helping with small in-studio gatherings).
Requirements• Genuine interest in yoga, wellness, and helping others on their wellbeing journey.
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese; knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
• Positive, upbeat personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional manners and a service-oriented mindset.
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Competent with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Google Drive). Previous experience with Mindbody or similar booking software is helpful but not mandatory, training will be provided.
• Immediate availability is an advantage; flexible shifts (including weekends and holidays) may be required.
• Prior experience in a reception, hospitality, or fitness/wellness environment is beneficial but not strictly required. Fresh graduates and career-switchers are welcome to apply.
